Mu Alpha Theta Conventions

Conventions are multi-day events, inviting students from around the state (State Convention) and the nation (National Convention) to participate in many mathematical competitions. These include:

• Individual tests for Mu, Alpha, and Theta

• Bowl rounds in the form of a team test

• Topic tests about specific topics within Mu, Alpha, and Theta

• Ciphering rounds which are in the form of individual team rounds

• Mental Math and Speed Math, which are extremely competitive fun tests

• Chalk Talk, which is a formal speech regarding the connection between math and a specific topic

But most importantly, they are a great experience with your team and an opportunity to meet more mathematically-minded people!
